HIGHLIGHTS FROM JANUARY MEETING:
1. We are restructuring and streamlining the club's leadership to 3 positions. President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
2. We are holding elections soon for said three positions. Possibly as soon as February but could be March.
3. Meetings will once again be held the First Tuesday of every month at 6pm. With the location to be announced prior.
Alright, we need members that are interested in running for any or all three of these new positions to message, email, or call us. Also, if you have a nomination for someone you can also send that our way.
Here is a quick overview of the responsibilities of each office.
Treasurer:
Keeps track of the Club bank account at TruNorth Credit Union. Also, keeps the account balanced and handles money from merchandise sales and member dues.
Secretary:
Manages the membership information as well as new members joining. Takes the minutes at meetings and reads the minutes from previous meetings. Also, helps President and Treasurer wherever prudent.
President:
Oversees Club activities and Officers. Make's sure everything the club decides to do gets done. Runs the Club Meetings every month. Makes general decisions on club issues that don't need to go to vote. Creates committees to handle issues.
These jobs are not as scary as they might sound. We strongly encourage members to step up and run for a position. The terms will only be 1 year long. We remind you this club is pretty relaxed and we all get along very well, so don't be afraid to give it a shot.
Mike Sirtola and Andy Harmala will still be involved and are not leaving the club. Just restructuring and giving the club a breath of fresh air and hopefully some new faces in front.
